10th Anniversary

Matt and I had the opportunity to leave town for a couple of days and visit Leavenworth, WA. We our amazing parents took care of our children for two days so we could enjoy a much needed break. Mom and Dad THANK YOU!
Leavenworth was all lit up with Christmas lights and we enjoyed walking from shop to shop checking out each different store. Matt's favorite was the candy store and my favorite was the Nutcracker Museum. After our walk we went to dinner at Visconte's. We enjoyed our food and ended up getting a free dessert. The dessert was definitely the best part. Matt tried the rack of lamb which was good but we both agreed steak is STILL better. Our hotel had a pool outside with a big tent around it so we thought about going for a swim but that just never happened. We opted to lounge on the big king size bed and watch TV and read. I think Matt fell asleep at 9pm. I know, we are party animals!
The next day Matt wanted to go snowboarding and I wanted to go shopping so we split up and did our thing. I don't think I have been shopping all by myself in a really long time. It was great. Matt went to Mission Ridge and had a great time trying out the freestyle park.
We are both refreshed and ready get back to life and the kids. When we returned home and got the kids to bed Luke threw up. I guess that was a reality check. : ) Now we know we are definitely back.

So I called you guys yesterday, and, as usual, Matt answered but with a funny voice and pretended not to be himself. Then he hung up on me. Then I called back, and, as usual, he pretended again not to be himself all the way up to taking a message to call me back. Matt's a real jokester. Except it was actually your dad. Joke's on me.

That is so great. I have been to Leavenworth. It is a nice city. My parents go there all the time. They also like the nutcracker store. They have bought so many of the nutcrackers. My favorite store was the Kris Kringle store. I love holiday decorations.

My parents were in town for our 7th anniversary in December and we went out for the night. We did the same thing. Watched T.V. and then fell asleep early. I am glad you got to get away for a while.

I'm glad you guys got a little break. It is always nice to get away. Happy Anniversary! It seems just like yesterday Matt was asking what we we're having for Sunday dinner and I would light into him, back in the day. I would never do that now. I love you guys!

That sounds like tons of fun. I love Leavenworth. And congrats on 10 years! Our 10 year is in a few weeks. I didn't realize we got married so close together, probably because when you got married I was too focused on me getting married! Sorry about puking kids. Thats never good. Thats what we came home from Bachelor to a couple of weeks ago. I think they are trying to tell us something! Hey, funny... the little word verification thing says brest...LOL
