Showers, darned it you do and darned if you don't...

I've got to be able to shower every day, its my one moment of peace in all my crazy day but bad things happen while I'm in my own world. Last week while I was taking my shower one day Mack, Hunter, and Luke had their own little adventure.

The three amigos were playing in the closet under the stairs and happen to find a box of ceramic figurines that I had collected when I was in middle school. The ceramic figurines are called Lucy Bears and they are cute little bears dressed up in costumes, like Elvis and others. Well, they took these little bears upstairs where we have a landing that looks down on to our ceramic tiled entry way. You can probably guess by now what happened to all my cute little bears.

I was just getting out of the shower when I heard this crashing sound like a glass shattered on the floor. I raced out of bedroom and found 2 amigos standing there looking very guilty. The other one was downstairs whooping and hollering with joy as the bear had come crashing down from above.

I love my children but I lost it when I saw what a huge mess they had made of my collectibles. I think that I probably had 15 bears and now I have two. So I yelled a bit and put them in their rooms while I cleaned up the mess. I did not take a picture because I was too mad to think it would be fun to share this disaster with the world.

So, lots of bad things happen while I shower but what do you do? I think the world is happier and I am happier when I shower.

Oh I am so sorry. That is horrible. Greg said he remembers your bears. He is sorry to.

I bet they just feed off each other, huh? I can't imagine. Mine never stop, but at least they are old enough to reason with now... and gone half the day :) I'm sorry about the bears. I've decided nothing is sacred with kids. I just figure everything I own is going to get ruined... couches, walls, tables, cupboards, carpet... need I go on... Sorry!

SORRY! I asked your mom once about kids & ruining things. Shesaid that almost everything has been glued at least once. Still a bummer!

You are such a nice mom. I am sure that you handled it way better than I would have. Your boys are lucky to have you! Sorry about the mess. That is a serious bummer!

I am so sorry!! What a frusterating day. Maybe that story will bring you some sort of redemption years down the road when you can tell it to their potential spouses.

I'm so sorry :(
I know, showers are my little "time out" too. Even though Adam works at home most days, the kids still manage to do crazy things while I shower.

Oh wow...I'm so sorry. There would have been a lot of yelling going on over here- and a very long time out. And I totally understand the shower thing!

I know! I always worry about what Marlee has destroyed while I take my quick 5 minutes. And don't they have a total knack to know where to hit you where it hurts? Kids...
So sorry about your bears. :(

Be on the lookout for a package from a lady in Wisconsin named Eleanor or Elaine Cordell or something like that.
